Warm Yellow...

Just a quick little post to end November with. November - yes, it is November. I have to remind myself everyday because well it's like 65 degrees and sunny here.  Christmas is going to be BIZARRE!.

Alright the post at hand - I bought a cute little outside table set for out back yard patio thingy on Craigslist for $40 and we spray painted it probably a month and a half ago now. It's so cute. Even Ross loves it. Granted we never really sit out here. Every once in a while I'll sit out and just enjoy the sunshine while Med is sunbathing.

Okay pictures...

Halfway in the middle of the spraying. (RUST-OLEUM, Warm Yellow)

It took like 3 coats to cover it. It just kept seeping threw.

And here's the after.

We love walking by it each day.

We also bought a holder from World Market to hold the lantern I bought at Z Gallerie last year.

Now to get our back yard from looking like a patch work quilt. The things you put up with to have a dog....

We the builders...

Okay I was going to name this post "Cathy the Builder" but I didn't think I've reached that status yet. Plus Ross did most of the building so I couldn't take the credit ;)

So I said I wasn't going to do anything with the office and I really wasn't planning too but then Ross was having to do his homework like this:

And I didn't think that was fair. So I looked into buying a desk on Craigslist and redoing it but couldn't find anything that I liked or that was cheap enough. So I went to Pinterest :) I found this amazing post about building one on your own and decided to give it a shot. I was going to try to do all this on my own and surprise Ross. Yea, I don't know what I was thinking either so it ended up being a "fun" group project. As in fun, I mean - me wanting to get it done already and Ross being so sick of sawing stuff and me being so tired of stain that I don't even want to see a can of it again all ending with us being very pleased and felt it was so worth it.

Here's a few pictures of the process:

It was a lot of measuring, sawing, gluing, nailing and staining.

The end result:

:)

We have yet to screw the top two boards on but honestly we might keep it this way.  There hasn't been any shifting and it'll be easier to move or pack up when we leave.

A couple pictures at Ross' request. :)

Too bad soon after we finished it he was assigned to Study Hall every night until 9 o'clock. :( But we still use it on weekends and whenever I do my internet surfing or blog posting (which isn't very often :)

I have a few other things to show in this room. It isn't quite done but it's coming along!

Another post to come.

Walls, walls and more walls....

Well hello there.

It's been awhile.

I can't say that it's been happenin' around here but we've just been living normal day to day life.  Ross started study hall on top of his classes and PT everyday so he's gone from 6am to 9pm everyday - which stinks but he's been able to get everything done there and can come home and relax for a couple hours before bed. I finally got a job, so I don't have to talk to the dog all day. Yay! It's at Gap :) I seriously love it. I work with some really fun girls and pretty much can play dress up with customers all day.  I can't complain.  I haven't done much with home decorating lately (trying to save up for a couch for our living room) but I do have some projects on the books that I haven't blogged about yet. So I'll be sharing a few little things here and there in the next couple of weeks.

Something I finished about a month ago was our gallery wall in our dining room. Once we did ours in our living room I was excited to make something bigger and better for our little dining area where we eat dinner maybe once or twice a month together : p

Here's she is.

Here's a picture of both walls together.

I loved putting this together. I just gathered prints, pictures and such for a couple weeks and took a bunch of stuff that was already owned and threw it together. I have to say that I look at it every time I walk by it. It makes me happy.

Here's some really awful close ups. LOL.

I decided to frame the thermostat  It helps blend it in more. Family pictures were done by a friend - talked about here. DO ALL THINGS WITH LOVE print found on Pinterest. So cute. And one with my girls from my wedding. :)

New York print I talked about here. Mirror blogged about here. And of course the Bear print that was posted here.

Here's my husband's 1 year portrait. Is he not the cutest?!!  YOU AND ME AND THE DOG print found on Pinterest. :)

I still haven't put any curtains up in here but we do have our chair that I redid here in the corner with a pretty yellow chevron pillow.

So simple yet so divine.

Til next time :)
