ChicCanvas of the Volga River....

It's just been one of those lazy Sunday afternoons. Both my boys are taking naps...

So I decided to write a little something. I've been meaning to post about this for a while but it just took us a little bit to get a picture.

So awhile back we ordered a canvas from Chic Canvas through One King's Lane that was 50% off. Go us! But when we got it, the color (Ross took the picture in Sephia on his camera which kinda turns out a little pink) just didn't look right and didn't go well with our taupe colored walls. So we called to see if we could reorder it in Black and White. Well they sent us another one free of charge and we didn't need to send the first one back. :) Which was amazing because we pretty much just got two canvas' for the price of half of one (and these weren't cheap to begin with) Well seeing that we weren't going to use the other one, we were trying to sell it. Ross didn't want to put it on Craigslist because he didn't want to buy a copyright for it but didn't want someone else to take the credit, Sooo we were asking friends and family if they wanted it. Finally a friend of mine had seen the one in our living room and asked about it and I offered her the other (pinkish) one. Which surprising she said would go perfect in her dining room. :)

Here's her's:

And here's ours:

(It's a picture of a branch over the Volga River in Russia btw)

So with $50 extra dollars in our pocket, we're pretty thankful for the generosity of Chic Canvas for sending us two.

Now that Ross sold his first photograph, he's had the craving to sell more and even thought about doing it as a side job for a little bit there. Just one of those fun hobbies that could potentially earn you some extra lovely mula.

:)

I love when stuff works in your favor.

It's been so hot in the North Country, we've been doing alot of this latley:

Numero 2....

So I've been thinking about another color scheme - Blue and Pink. Preferrably dark blue and bright pink but I like dark blue with light pink too :)

There's something so exciting and girly about these two colors together!

Check it out.

Love this Rug!

Beautiful, I came across a wedding that was all denim color blue and light pink and it was gorgeous. Cant find it now though!!

Loved this nursery the first time I saw it, very classy.

Antique Shops

WARNING** Overload of pictures in this post. I just couldn't pick!!!!

The husband and I went to western NY for the weekend. We went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant and to see a few church sites. If you wanted to know more about our church see here. It was a great weekend. We camped and did a little window shopping.

One of the places we went to were Antique shops. Fact: Palmyra NY is HUGE for Antiquing. I had no idea.
Check out some of the shops we went to....

The Palmyra Canal Shop & Tow Patch Antique:

I love anything Nautical. Period.

Some old Mason jars, I would love to make a light fixture out of these.

Old Wash boards.

Cute bench..

Distressed mantle.... Love this....

This was his cute set up outside... Love the blue.

And Magpie & Sparrow:

This was an amazing lamp, she actually used it though, wasn't for sale :(

I loved this chalkboard, also not for sale, but beautiful. We almost went home with that Live Simply sign.

Um nautical...see above comment!

I loved the shutters. I really want to throw this decor idea into our home.

The owners were both very nice and gave tons of information on how to set up your own little shop - which has always been a dream of mine. :)

We had a great time together camping, eating, and learning more about a church that we love.

At Pageant.

Roasting Marshmallows.

Camping...

View outside our tent.

At the Palmyra Temple...

Color Schemes....

I've been really thinking about color schemes lately. Whenever I find one that I can't get my mind off of, I'm gonna share it.

My first Obesession: Teal and Orange.

The wedding ideas you think of after you're married.....

Adorable bird pillow...

I would love teal and orange in a living room. More as accents to a bunch of white and a soothing grey though. It has kind of a beachy feel.

Yummy...

I love me a beautiful centerpiece.

All via Google

So this is my latest craze. Can I just have a home with a billion rooms? One for every idea I have.
