I almost died....

......of excitement!

Thursday was the longest day of my life but one that I will definitively remember forever.

We left around 5 o'clock in the morning on the train down to the city.

We got there around 8:30 and went right down to the Russian district for the morning.

We bought some food and ate at a park.

I had fed a squirrel some food, then these birds wouldn't leave us alone the whole time we were there.

Then we headed over to the Nate show! We got in line and waited for about 2 hours until we were actually seated. So worth it!!!

Being in a live audience was soo awesome! They played games in the middle of segments and it was so fun to actually be right there :)

Me touching the stage :) we were that close!

Ross in a big group of girls. I think there was a total of 10 guys in the whole audience.

The lighting made your skin look AMAZing!

The whole set was decorated so beautifully!

After the show we took a walk through central park, and ate some dinner.

And then we headed home.

It was an incredible day and I'm so glad that we were able to experience it. :)

I'll post more about the show soon!

Crowbiz...

I wanted to post about one of the gifts I got Ross for his birthday. It was kinda something for both of us but I knew he'd love it.

Ross is a Russian major in school. He lived there for a couple of years and he fell in love with the language and has been studying it ever since. One day when I was looking for some gifts for him on etsy I came across this:

It's a bear print on top of a vintage Russian book.

Our dog's name is Medved, if you didn't read that already (I talk about him too much :) which means bear in Russian. I thought this could be something we could have forever to remind us of the furball.

(I added the frame)

Ross agreed that it was perfect :) he loved it.

This shop is so cute. She has tons of different prints on tons of different writings or maps. You should check it out. I'm sure you'll find something that you love.

Here are a few of her prints that I love:

Nate Berkus tomorrow! :)

We are so excited! It's going to be a long day but sooo worth it :)

There will be a post this weekend with lots of pictures :)

27 years ago, (yesterday lol) my husband was born.

He has grown into such a honest, loving, funny, smart and handsome man. I love him so much. He puts up with so much from me and can still tell me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me, EVERYDAY. Seriously, I don't think he misses a day. He's a consistent husband :)

He's not big into birthdays, so instead of having people over, we spent it as a family. Ross, Medved and I. It was perfect.

I made dinner- from scratch

And a cake- from scratch

and he opened presents.

We went for a nice walk with Medved and ended the night with a movie. The Italian Job (that was from Medved)

It was a great day.

Here is us trying to get a family picture. We have yet to really get a good one. :) Medved's pretty squirmy...

1 Year Down, an Eternity to Go....

It has been a roller coaster, can anyone relate to that? LOL.

We, as you probably guessed, went to Boston for our one year Anniversary. We had a really great time. :)

When we went to Puerto Rico, the hotel we stayed at was the Double Tree. It was literally spectacular. The room, the service, the view, everything. But it was Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Double Tree in Boston as well, for "tradition sake" and we thought it would be just as cool. Not so much. BUT we did have a really great time in the city.

The first night we were there, Ross' parents were actually with us. They were going to the temple with us the next day so we spent some time with them in the city. We had a ton of fun. We went to the harbor and then to Quincy Market. Then we went on the longest search ever for the "original" Cheers bar. I say original because they made a 2nd one right downtown but we wanted the real thing. We finally found it. We walked literally about 5 miles but we found it and had dinner. It was a fun adventure to say the least. :)

The next day we went to the temple of course and we also took a long nap haha. Lame but so needed. That walk was extensive. When we woke up we went out to dinner at the Melting Pot. Did you know you have to cook your own meal there?? Expensive, long, we were stuffed, but we spent it together. :)

We were so stuffed that we ate the top layer of our wedding cake the next day. LOL.

(Doesn't my husband have a beautiful smile? :)

(we were in a hotel, therefore the crappy pictures)

We ate one little piece each, all our stomach could handle.

We also got to go to the Aquarium while we were there. On a VERY raining day, I might add. But it was really fun and interesting. I'd never been to one and it's no secret that we love the ocean so it was nice to learn more about some creatures and see some fun shows.

We got to touch star fish..

And sting rays....

We ate too much and slept too much. It was a perfect weekend :)
